Amidi joined WCO in the year 2025 as Senior Legal Assistant. Amidi graduated from International Islamic University Malaysia in Bachelor of Law (LLB) Honours) in 2018 and was admitted as Advocate & Solicitor of High Court Malaya in May 2019.
Amidi brings extensive experience in litigation, having appeared regularly before both the Subordinate Courts and the High Court in Malaysia. His core area of practice is general and banking litigation, with a strong emphasis on personal financing, SME financing, and home financing. He has expertise in matters involving Islamic finance and Shariah-compliant financial instruments.
In addition to his banking portfolio, Amidi manages a wide range of general litigation matters, including:
• Contractual disputes, such as construction, tenancy, and franchise-related claims;
• Debt recovery involving trade debtors;
• Tortious claims; and
• Disputes relating to housing developments and land matters.
Complementing his private practice background, Amidi also served as a Legal Executive at a public listed oil and gas company previously, where he handled corporate advisory, contract management, and regulatory compliance matters. This role provided him with valuable insight into internal corporate operations and decision-making processes, which informs his strategic and commercially attuned litigation approach.
Prior to joining WCO, Amidi practised in two medium-sized law firms, where he handled both banking and general civil litigation matters.
