Dato’ Dzulkifli bin Mahmud (“Dato’ Dzulkifli”) started his career with the Ministryof International Trade and Industry in 1981. He was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), the National Trade Promotion Agency, under the Ministry of International Trade and Industry Malaysia (MITI) since June 2015 till February 2017.Prior to that he was the Deputy CEO of MATRADE, Senior Director of the Exporters Development Division MATRADE, Senior Trade Commissioner for the Gulf Cooperation Councils based at MATRADE Dubai, Director of West Asia, Africa, South Asia and CIS Countries MATRADE, Commercial Counsellor / Trade Commissioner of MATRADE Rotterdam as well as the Consul and Trade Commissioner of the Consulate of Malaysia (Commercial Section) in Milan, Italy.

Dato’ Dzulkifli has been actively involved in various Committees for the trade and export development in relation to the economic advancement for Malaysia. He has been a speaker in many international seminars and conferences. Dato’ Dzulkifli is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Berhad and the Deputy President of the Asean Chambers of Commerce. Dato’ Dzulkifli heads the International Trade Unit.
